Everything you need to know before your first session — from what to expect, to how coaching differs from therapy.
Together, we identify how we can best work together. This lays the foundation for our conversation. We then clarify what you want to focus on and how we will know the session has been valuable, before exploring the focus area more fully.
Throughout the session, I may ask questions or point things out. There are no right or wrong answers and you have full autonomy to decide where you want to go.
At the end of the session, I will support you in defining your action steps and accountability framework.
Simply come with one specific topic or challenge you would like to explore. Make sure you are in a quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly and courageously.
It is open to everyone. Whether you are navigating a leadership transition at work or a personal shift at home, these sessions provide the structure for your self-discovery.
Sessions are virtual and conducted via Google Meet. You will receive a full transcript afterward so you can revisit your insights at any time.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the coaching relationship. In accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics, what you share in our sessions is held in strict confidence and will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent.
The only exceptions are those required by law — for example, if there is a credible risk of harm to yourself or others. Where possible, these situations would be discussed with you openly before any action is taken.
Life happens, and flexibility matters. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before your session. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time may not be eligible for a refund or reschedule, except in cases of genuine emergency.
You can manage your booking directly through the confirmation you receive at the time of booking. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out and I will always do my best to find a workable solution.
Coaching and therapy serve different purposes. As defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaching is a partnership that supports clients in maximising their personal and professional potential. It is present- and future-focused, centred on where you want to go and how to get there.
Therapy is typically delivered by a licensed mental health professional and focuses on healing, diagnosing, or treating psychological conditions, often exploring past experiences and their impact on the present.
Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. If you are experiencing significant mental health challenges, I would encourage you to seek the support of a qualified mental health professional. That said, coaching and therapy can complement each other well when both are in place.
Not at all. Sessions are available on a single-session basis with no ongoing commitment required. Many clients find that one focused session gives them exactly what they need to move forward. Others choose to return when a new challenge or question arises.
If you are curious about what a longer coaching engagement might look like, we can explore that together during a discovery call or at the end of your first session.
If you have a topic that matters to you and you are open to exploring it with curiosity and honesty, you are ready. You do not need to have the right words, a perfectly defined problem, or any prior coaching experience.
The discovery call is a low-stakes way to find out. It costs nothing, requires no commitment, and will give you a genuine feel for whether this kind of conversation is useful for you.
